can't find any reference to his being there at all in the Berks Co.
Death Records...and their birth records don't go back that far...Think
I'll try Thomas Bradley RHOADES and see what comes out...???
TBR & HG had 13 children, 12 of them in Circleville Oh.
Their marraige record was verified by two other researchers.

My Most Wanted Rhodes/Rhoades~
Elizabeth Wisdom Rhodes/Rhoades b Sept 16, 1823 in Missouri, possibly
Sullivan County. Father is only known as Mr. Rhoades so far.
Her mother now known to be Elizabeth.
Both parents born about 1790's, unknown vicinity.
I have good photographs of each c 1864.
Elizabeth marries Jesse Hamrick about 1846, his father living in Sullivan
Co. Missouri.
If anyone has the Sullivan Co. Rhodes' I would be glad to pay for copies.
By 1850 they join the emigrant overland trail to California gold fields and
settle in Amador Co. CA where they have 11 children, my project collects
the descendants of this pioneer couple, I have traced over 700 individuals
and recently conducted an amazing first time reunion of those I could
locate who travelled hundreds of miles to participate! Our group photo
of 75 individuals is super......What an experience!
Any clues as to the parents of Elizabeth Wisdom RHODES or RHOADES would be
terrifically appreciated.

George and Armakella (variously known as Rhoades and Rhoads) lived in Woodbury
Twp., Bedford Co., PA and had children in this order: George, Jr., Philip,
Jacob (b. 1874/5(, Henry, Christian and Mary.
Philip goes to Montgomery Co., OH in 1804. Jacob and Catherine (Smith) move
to OH in 1810 and together with Philip buy 160 acres 1 mile NE of present day
Farmersville, OH in 1814. Jacob bought 80 acres in 1824 near Brookville, OH
(I grew up on farm just 2 miles from that homestead). They had children in
this order: Betsy (Elizabeth?), Jacob (II), Nancy, Abrahma, John, David,
Daughter.
Jacob (II) b. 1805, d. 1882 married Barbara Souder, d. 1844 and had the
following children: Abraham, b. 1832; Jacob(III), b. 1833; John, b. 1830;
Peter, b. 1835; Jonas, b. 1838; Catherine, b. 1838(?); Barbara, b. 1841;
Melinda, b. 1843, Noah b. 1830, d. 1909; and Hiram, b. 1838. Barbara dies in
1844 and Jacob remarries to Anna Maria Shade b. 1807, d. 1888. They then had
the following children: Margaret, b. 1845; David, b. 1847, Henry, b. 1848, d.
1837 in Preble Co., OH; Amanda, b. 1851, Daniel, b. 1854, and Noah, b. 1830,
d. 1909 (this is where I come in).

John and Nicholas being most prevalent. Around 1815-1820 Nicholas
Rhoades (a Rev. veteran) & wife Franky (Frances) moved their family to
the westward to Clifton, Miami Twp., Green Co., OH. Next generation,
Walter Rhoades, moved west to Urbana, Champaign Co., IL, around 1826.
Then Walter moved his family to Jefferson Green Co., IA, about 1855.
Next gen., Mathias Perry Rhoades, moved to Greene Co., WI, about 1870's.

My Rhodes' information starts in Orange County, North Carolina around
1780, then moves on to Maury County, Tennessee around the early 1800's,
and further migrates to Fayette and Montgomery Counties in Illinois around
1839. Some of the surnames that I trace are: Cole, Cearlock, Casey, Harris,
Hicks, Nave, Sears, Stokes and Rhodes/Rhoades. I have over 4000 descendents
and I am willing to exchange data for help in filling in blanks. I would
very much like to go further back but currently I'm at a deadend. Any help

Fannie RHODES and Jimmy THOMAS lived in Alabama, and Moved to Mart, Falls
County, Texas before 1900. Tradition holds that my Rhodes family was from
Georgia or Florida before coming to Alabama, though none of that has been
solidly confirmed.

The Rhoads name of the family tree has been traced as far as Jacob
Rhoads, thought to have been born in Grayson Co., Ky. about 1800. This is
based upon a claim submitted to the U.S. Government by his son John Rhoads's
two children which listed his place and date of birth.
Jacob's wife, Susan Skaggs, was the daughter of Richard Skaggs
(born abt.1781 in Washington Co., Virginia) the son of Aaron Skaggs and
Sarah Lyons.
Aaron was one of the Skaggs brothers who since before the Revolutionary
War had been "Long Hunters" from east of the Applachians who had come
into Kentucky to trap during the winter and take furs back in the spring.
Jacob's antecedents may have been from the line of Henry Rhoads of
Bedford Co., Pa. When a general migration of them moved to Macoupin Co.,
Ill. in the 1830, Jacob and Susan moved with them. Henry Rhoads, Jr.'s
brother Joseph who died in Muehlenberg Co.,
Kentucky in 1799 had three sons named Daniel, Jacob and John.
A Jacob and John Rhodes were listed on the 1810 & 1820 censuses.
Jacob was listed as 45+ with two boys, while John was listed as between
16 to 20 with two boys listed as 10 and under. In the 1828 Edmonson Co.
Deed book, Aaron Skaggs, the brother of Richard Skaggs sold a parcel of
land to John Rhodes, and in 1836 sold another parcel to Daniel Rhodes.
Daniel's daughter, Ruby Rhodes married a Nicolas Roof in 1820.
In 1842, the son of Nicolas and Ruby, John Roof, married Sally Skaggs,
the daughter of James Skaggs, a brother of Richard Skaggs. This would
indicate the Rhoads (Rhodes) clan and the Skaggs clan had dealings with
each other. Whether any or all of the Daniel, Jacob, and John Rhodes
were connected with the Joseph Rhoads of Muhlenberg Co. is unknown.
Whether the Jacob Rhoads of Grayson county is connected to the John
or Jacob Rhodes of Edmonson is likewise unknown. In about 1836, Jacob
and Susan left Macoupin Co., Ill. and moved to the White River
area in north central Arkansas where he purchased government land.
Jacob was listed in the census for 1840 with his family as being in
Izard County, Ark.
When the census was taken in 1850, he and Susan had disappeared.
His son Thomas was present with his wife, child, and several of the
younger children were listed with other families. Richard and John
were not with them. In 1860, all the children were in Izard County,
but Jacob and Susan were not. In 1854, in Pulaski Co., Mo. the
Probate Court Richard Skaggs listed a Susan Ravelle as an heir. It is
not known if this referred to Susan Skaggs or not. Nothing has been
discovered about them since.
