KenElery: Hello Bud
KenElery: Ken Elery is in Forney, TX near Dallas
KenElery: Wm Rodes, Knox Co KY wife Keziah
KenElery: Rhodes, all spellings, Gibson, Brimberry
KenElery: I need a mar between Wm Rodes & Keziah (maybe Gibson) maybe Burke Co NC
KenElery: Bud did you want our charts here?
KenElery: Anyone have Knox Co KY as location of any of their Family?
KenElery: Knox is in the far SE corner of Ky
KenElery: Bud I;ve tried but can't connnnect to Muhenburg co
KenElery: A couple of my branch furnished gold for the 1850s era gold coins
made by the Morman church. Heard of this?
KenElery: Not proven.
KenElery: Thomas and ... well I forgot the second
KenElery: There are Thomas' in every gen of my line
KenElery: My gr grand father went to Clay co, Alexander RHoades
KenElery: I'll send you my chart
KenElery: Some of My Alexander's uncles went to Warren Co IA near Liberty
KenElery: Bud I don't really know. I descend from Knox co Ky Live and
I'm having a hard time with that.
KenElery: I was told about the gold by a descendant of the Knox Line so

Momovfive: Bud, you may know me as JECE1984, but I am glad I finally remembered
the reunion at the start rather at the end when all was said and done!
Momovfive:
Momovfive: George Washington Rhodes born @1810 married Martha Turner in
Orange Co. NC 1830
Momovfive: Rhodes, Bryant, Campbell, Purdom, Proffer, Saypaw, Schulz
Momovfive: Suzy, I want to ask you about your Wiley Rice Rhodes. I noticed you have
Turner on your list.
Momovfive: I have Martha Turner marrying my George Washington Rhodes in Orange County
Momovfive: Oh, no, why the sad face?:-*
Momovfive: Suzy, do you know where Wiley was born? I cannot scroll up far enough
to find where he was born
Momovfive: It seems that G W stayed in Orange Co long enough for his son Washington
Marion Rhodes to be born in August 1831.
Momovfive: It is unknown to me when they begin to travel, but there are children
born in Tennessee and this family appeared on the Liberty Township,
Cape Girardeau County, MIssouri
Momovfive: Just curious, Washington Marion Rhodes brother's name was
William Pinkney Rhodes.
Momovfive: Any names in your research like Pinkney? Different name
Momovfive: G W Rhodes is quite the common name!
Momovfive: NC > TN > MO
Momovfive: Suzy, did you comment on your Wiley's siblings? I am sorry to
repeat...I cannot seem to scroll back to the beginning
Momovfive: Might I ask if anyone has ancestors coming from another country?
I cannot seem to get any of my Rhodes ancestors on a boat!:-\
Momovfive: Did your Wiley remain in the same area or did he migrate?
Momovfive: Suzy, that is interesting.
Momovfive: So the Surname, Rhodes, does not necessarily signify a specific area
they migrated from
Momovfive: I was contacted by a descendant of Thomas Rhodes over the summer
about a museum in California
Momovfive: Did you know of any recognition of Thomas Rhodes family in a museum?
Momovfive: No, I am like you, I am stonewalled at GW...no siblings nor parents
Momovfive: I have record of GW & Martha Turners marriage in Orange Co NC
Momovfive: Birthplace of their son from census info and the rest is a mystery
Momovfive: Suzy, Is there a NC census of the Orange Co area? I have never
researched that avenue
Momovfive: Any trace of your family?
Momovfive: Bud, I have had good connections on the rootsweb.com message boards
and the surname & county lists
Momovfive: Thank you so much BUD~~~ :-)
Momovfive: Suzy, let us keep in touch!
Momovfive: Suzy, I plan to subscribe to Orange Co list if there is one
Momovfive: yes...already emailed you
