have been there about 1800. Comments?

FicNic: For instance, of my Rhoads were in MO in 1800, that's awfully
early. Pre-Louisiana Purchase

FicNic: I know WHY they left, I just wondered HOW they left and got here.
What area first?
FicNic: Census records say Barbara's father was born in PA, her mother
in NC

colonies west?

SEEKR VT: I am looking for information about the Rhoades family
in Vermont and how they got here.

to Vermont named Rhoades/Rhodes??
SEEKR VT: where did most Rhoades family people come into
the country? "my" Daniel Rhoades was in Vermont in 1800s
SEEKR VT: I read that it was hard to trace Rhoades/Rhodes
pioneers back to immigration/they didn't write
SEEKR VT: i.e. they were the ones who "took off" from so.
New England to explore and didn't keep in touch so how is it possible
to research those connections between the early ones

"original" because folks didn't spell!!

are German. Why did they come here??
